Reconnect an expired Google connection

Reconnect an expired Google connection

Google connections can expire or be revoked and how to reconnect when that happens.

Google connections can expire or be revoked. This can happen when a user changes their Google password, revokes app access, or when Google requires a fresh authorization. When this happens, Flowboost cannot refresh the connection until Google Ads is connected again.

Signs that a connection has expired

You may notice:

  • Projects stop loading Google Ads data.
  • Labelizer cannot fetch account data.
  • Merchant Center or conversion action lists do not load.
  • An in-app message reads: "Google Ads connection has expired. Please reconnect your Google Ads account in the integrations settings."
  • A run fails because account access is no longer available.

Google

Available

One connection grants access to Google Ads and Google Sheets reports.

When the connection expires or is revoked, Flowboost sends an email notification to the user who set up the connection. If that user cannot be reached, the email goes to the organisation owner instead.

Reconnect Google Ads

  1. Go to Settings > Organisation settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Google.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Complete the Google authorization flow.
  5. Return to Flowboost and check the connection status.

After reconnecting, the integration status shows as connected again and every project that uses this organisation's Google Ads or Merchant Center access is restored automatically. There is no separate step to reactivate individual projects.

This is different from projects that are missing entirely. If a project is not in the list at all, add it again. See Add and manage projects.

If reconnecting does not fix it

Check that:

  • You selected the correct organisation.
  • You used the Google user with access to the right Google Ads accounts.
  • Your Google Ads account access is still active.
  • You can open the account directly in Google Ads.
  • Your browser is not blocking the Google authorization popup.
